Vintage (Acoustic Research) AR 2AX Speakers, all original by larlev posted on May 15, 2012 21:10: Listed here are an all original pair of Vintage AR 2ax speakers. The cabinets have NEVER been opened. All the speakers work - tweeters, mids and woofers but from the best I can tell the woofers will need foam surrounds which is very common given their age. I did not want to undertake the re-foaming myself so I will leave that to the next owner. Wouldn't you rather have an unmolested speaker originally sealed? The speakers are too big for my 9x 10 room so they have to go. The crossovers work but again this is an unopened speaker from the 70's so keep that in mind.
