- Optonica is Sharp's higher quality line of stereo equipment and pictured is the Amplifier Model SM 3300. This amplifier supports two pairs of speakers. A very nice touch is the OPTO POWER DISPLAY showing the channel and the amount of power being directed to that side. This is serial number 10701060. - Wonderful pair of Allison Acoustic AL 110 speakers with new surrounds last year so you won't have to worry about these for a long time! Great sonic quality out of these little book shelf speakers. I've got them mated to a Mac 1700 and they sound just great!!! The cabinet bodies and grilles are in excellent shape. They stand 16" high by 9 3/4" wide and 9 3/4" deep. - The pair of speakers you are looking at were Peter Snell's original type E's that he designed prior to his death in 1984. They were and are still considered a high end speaker and were more prized than the E II or E III's that were designed by Kevin Voecks for Snell after Peter's death. The cabinets are in wonderful shape although there are a couple of rings left by condensation on one speaker. If I were planning on keeping this pair I would sand down the tops with steel wool and apply a light stain to match the sides. I believe that these speakers are totally original and the new owner will be able to appreciate "the sound" that Peter Snell engineered on his last speaker series.
